Trikaroo Q&A

Trikaroo Q&A

Posted by Tera Webb, Trikologist on on Feb 7th 2019

I've been getting a few questions at recent shows that I want to address.

Q: Where are these made?

A: Trikaroos are designed and built in the U.S.A. We globally source our parts (just like most vehicle manufacturers), but everything is designed and assembled in New Port Richey, Florida.

Q: If my Trikaroo breaks down, where do I take it for repairs?

A: Any bicycle shop can do repairs on your Trikaroo. We have bicycle shops across the country call us on a regular basis. We troubleshoot the problems with them over the phone, and arrange to have parts shipped. If you're in Florida, we do repairs in our Corporate Headquarters in New Port Richey. If you'd like to drop your Trikaroo off to us, please call us at 1-800-679-3415 to schedule an appointment. If you're within 100 miles of us, we can schedule a pick up and delivery, for a small convenience charge.

Q: What is the warranty on my Trikaroo?

A: There is a one year warranty on the non-wearable parts. The specific details of this are in your owner's manual. The battery and charger are warrantied for 3 months, because we can't control the charging habits of our customers.

Q: How long will my battery last?

A: All of our two seater models will travel 40 miles on a charge. This is dependent upon the surface that you're driving on. The overall life expectancy of your battery depends entirely upon your charging practices and where you store your battery. HERE is a link to the best charging and storage practices. The average life expectancy of a SLA battery is 24-36 months. The average life expectancy of a Lithium Ion battery is 4-5 years.

Q: Where do I get replacement parts for my Trikaroo?

A: Since we build everything right here, we have replacement parts for all of our current models. You can order them by calling us. Our website will be updated with all of the parts for our newer models, very soon.

Q: Who's the veteran? (Based upon the signage at a show)

A: Trikaroo is owned and operated by a US Navy Veteran. We employ veterans, and would love to have more working for us. (I am not personally a veteran, but my family is in the military, and I appreciate your service.)

Q: Where can I test ride a Trikaroo?

A: Check out our event calendar HERE. Some events don't allow us to give test rides, but most do. If you're going to be in the New Port Richey area, you can call us at 1-800-679-3415 to schedule an appointment to come by the corporate office to take a test ride.

Q: Do you have dealers across the country?

A: We do have some dealers, and we're currently accepting dealer applications from anyone interested in becoming a Trikaroo Authorized Dealer. We will have a list of all of our dealers and contact information on our website, soon. Please call 1-800-679-3415 x4 if you're interested in becoming a dealer, or if you'd like information on dealers near you.

Q: How is this a golf cart alternative? Where do I put my clubs?

A: Many people own a golf cart that have never golfed, or don't use their personal golf cart on the course. Trikaroos are like a golf cart in that they are street legal where a golf cart or bicycle can be ridden legally, and they travel at speeds of 16-18 mph, with the ability to transport two people. They're unlike a golf cart in that we've met all of the standards of compliance for the American Disabilities Act, which means that you can drive your Trikaroo through a standard doorway and ride it indoors, as well as on the grass, gravel and dirt outdoors. For the second question, you can have something fabricated to add onto our Trikaroos to carry just about anything that you'd like. All two seater Trikaroo's come with a front basket and rear basket or pouch, for storage.

Q: Do you have a canopy?

A: We only have a canopy for our original Boomer. We do not have one for any of our current trikes, but you can find them online at various tractor supply places, or you can have one fabricated.

Q: Can I put bigger tires on the Boomer X?

A: Yes. The rear tires are the same bolt pattern as a golf cart; however, the wider tires will not allow you to be compliant with A.D.A standards, because the width will be more than 30 inches, and unable to fit through a standard doorway.

Q: Can I pull a trailer with this?

A: The Boomer X and Boomer Switch are capable of towing a wagon or trailer. Both models can tote 600 pounds on the trike and pull 400 pounds. You will have to fabricate a way to connect the trailer or wagon to the back of the Trikaroo.

Q: Can I put a hemi/v8 in here?

A: Only if you agree to send me pictures, and know that it will void your warranty! ;)

Q: What is the best way to contact Trikaroo?

A: Our phone number is 1-800-679-3415. There's a recording with a list of extensions. If you don't get an answer, please leave us a voicemail and we will get back to you. We send calls to voicemail, rather than leaving our customers on hold for extended periods of time. Our company email is

Everyone at Trikaroo is here because we believe in our product, and we stand behind it 100%. We want our customers to be happy and we're committed to customer service.
